Troweller

Hi !

During this year we have to make a game about one myth or legend from the region where I live in : "Occitanie". And after some researches we have found one where it was told that in "Ariège" (french departement) at the middle ages, "god" told to two friends builders that they had to build two churches on either side of a valley. But they had only one trowel, so when someone had it, he had to thrown it to his mate so he could use it too but this poor trowel had to travel all the way throught the forest. And them it make us laugh and we decide to make it ! And It was a very good learning experience, for the first time, we have done one "real" video game.

I was on charge of the developement in C#, the environment art and the sound design on this project and the all team was composed of :
- Gael Defrance : Game/Level Designer
-Gillian Morio : 3D Artist
-Mathias Maugard : Concept Artist
-Quentin Gillet : VFX Artist

If you want to give it a try, this is the link : https://eartsup-toulouse.itch.io/troweller

It's not updated from a long time and it's a little bit buggy but we are in reflexion to make it on mobile devices so we are gonna make some patches later on.

Hope you'll like it and stay tuned !

To make the trees, I've used the Line tool in 3DsMax and adjust them for the details then I had to retopo it and bake it with Marmoset Toolbag.

For the leaves, I've maded a shader with Amplify in Unity. The shader takes all UV shells of the mesh and make them react like billboards to make this stylized dense fluffy like leaves.
